Glenn Haege: Ask Glenn
DetNews.com (Detroit News)
January 30, 2008
Dear Glenn: My bathroom sink drains frequently get black "gunk" on the stoppers and the rims of the drains holes. I clean them with products such as Comet cleanser and Lysol liquid. We've lived in this house for 23 years. It's only been the last few years that this problem has persisted. We recently remodeled the bathroom. New plumbing hasn't made a difference.

Dear Jill: Concrobuim Mold Control by Siamons International Inc., (866) 811-4148, www.concrobium.com, would be very helpful. You can get it at ACO, Home Depot and lumberyards such as John's Lumber.
