Control and Prevent Mold Growth

Concrobium eliminates and prevents mold problems in vulnerable areas such as basements, bathrooms, kitchens, closets, laundry rooms and around windows – anywhere mold is apparent or suspected. The breakthrough solution can also be used to control mold in buildings, boats, cars, RVs – wherever mold takes hold.

Application is easy. Simply apply Concrobium onto the surface, wipe off any excess and allow to dry. Because Concrobium contains no bleaches, peroxides or ammonias, it can be used on virtually any surface. And Concrobium has no odour, meaning you don’t have to open windows or vacate the area after using the product.

Instructions for Use
Concrobium should be used as part of a comprehensive plan that addresses the conditions favourable to mold growth. Experts agree that prevention is critical – sound building practices, humidity management and timely clean-up of water damage are all keys to preventing mold growth. To learn more about mold control and prevention procedures consult Mold Resources.

The size and severity of your mold problem are two determinants of the right remediation approach. Smaller jobs can be handled by do-it-yourselfers while large infestations frequently require the services of remediation professionals. (Are you a mold remediation professional? For spot applications on surfaces, use Concrobium’s 946 mL spray bottle or 4L jug as follows:

  1. Do not dilute.
  2. Apply product on area until evenly wet. Concrobium must come in direct contact with mold to be effective.
  3. Allow to dry completely.
  4. Clean any remaining stains and residue with a Concrobium-dampened cloth.

Do not rinse. Do not use bleach-based cleaners as they may reduce product effectiveness.

If surface is subsequently painted or coated with another substance, reapply Concrobium to ensure protection against mold.

Do-it-yourselfers can also choose to apply Concrobium using a fogging machine, which mists the product into fine droplets to allow quick, even coating of larger areas. Fogging is also recommended for mold prevention in vulnerable household locations, and to reach inaccessible areas where you suspect mold, such as in attics or under flooring. For larger mold issues (more than 3m2), it is recommended that you consider a professional remediation company  that, using Concrobium, can deliver comprehensive services to ensure successful mold abatement and long-term prevention.
