Musty Basement? Treat it with Concrobium Mold Control Aerosol

Mold, Dry Wall, Mold damage

Chances are good that if you have a basement and you’ve spent any time in it whatsoever, you’ve probably noticed that distinctive, slightly funky, musty basement smell. Chances are also good that you’ve likely just accepted that smell as something that all basements have. While many basements have that musty basement smell in common, it’s definitely not inevitable, and it’s certainly manageable.

What most people don’t realize is that the musty smell is actually a symptom of something, and that something is mold. Mold needs food, moisture and warmth to grow, all things that basements have in abundance. During its growth cycle, when mold consumes the organic material found in basements on building materials like wood or drywall, it releases “MVOCs” or “microbial volatile organic compounds” into the air. Another way of thinking about it is that what you’re smelling is actually “mold burps”. While the smell is harmless, the mold may not be so it’s best to take action.

Concrboium Mold Control’s patented formula eliminates mold and prevents it from coming back by leaving an invisible anti-microbial shield as it dries. And the new Concrobium Mold Control Aerosol format is the ideal tool to treat mold in basements because it’s ultra-fine mist is great for quickly reaching deep into basement cracks and crevices where mold hides and “fogging” a space with the solution to get rid of the musty basement stink.

I had used this before to mitigate mold and odor before and this product used to have a distinctive smell. However, the last spray bottle I got from the local Home Depot smelled more like water. I thought some dishonest person might have returned an used product backfilled with water so I bought the aerosol version but it smelled like water also. Did the formula get changed?
